   Cherry Blossoms in DC

Visit our nations capital while the scent of cherry blossoms is in the air.  Enjoy a city tour, Arlington National Cemetary, Tomb of the Unknown Solider, Smithstonian Air and Space and Natural History Museums.  Enjoy one afternoon to explore on your own in the capital of our nation. 

 

One morning will be spent touring, Jamestown, the first English settlement in America.  Spend the aftenoon at the colonial capital of Williamsberg's Livng History Museum complete with costumed interpreters who will tell you the story of our early history.

  

In Richmond, VA, visit Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson, and the Whitehouse of the Confederacy, home of Jefferson Davis.  Also a visit to the Museum of the Confederacy will be included.  Lunch at Michie Tavern, opened in 1784 and still serving clients today.

 

One evening will be spent at the Kennedy Center to see the comedy Shear Madness and on another we will enjoy a German dinner.

 

On the way back to OKC, stop at Frank lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in Pennsylavinia.  Take the Duquesne Incline up Mount Washington to overlook Pittsbrugh and its three rivers.

In Columbus, MO, stop and take a tour of the National Road/ Zane Grey Museum for the history of "America's Main Street" also learn about one of most popular western writer, Zane Grey.  Some time will be provided to walk and shop in the charming town of Dresden.
