Canadian Rockies & Glacier National Park(9d, 11m)  July 17-26   $1895from Calgary

Vacation where the foothills of the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Plains.  Enjoy the majestic splendor of Glacier Park in Montana and

Waterton Lakes Park in Canada. Travel north thru beautiful Banff to the awesome Columba icefield's Athabasca Glacier.

Daily Itinerary

1. Fly from OKC to Calgary, Canada and take the courtesy shuttle to your hotel.  A tour

    briefing will be held at 8:00 pm. in the lobby.



2. Journey south to visit Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier Park in Montana.

     Spend two nights on shores of Waterton Lake with shopping, cafes, bars and

     wildlife viewing outside your door. (B,D)



3. Travel across borders to visit Glacier National Park.  Journey aboard the Red Jammers

    along the spectacular "Going to the Sun" Road.  See St. Mary's Lake and the Majestic

    Garden Wall and be on the look out for mountain goats and big horn sheep at Logan's

    Pass.  Enjoy free time at Many Glacier, along the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake before

    returning across the border again to Waterton. (B)



4. Drive through beautiful Kananaskis Valley to Banff where you will spend 2 nights. Ride 

    Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for panoramic views of six mountain

    ranges in 2500 square miles of Banff Park. (B)



5. Drive along the shores of Lake Minnewanka & Two Jack Lake on a morning wildlife

    excursion.  Stop at thundering Bow River Falls.  Enjoy a float trip down the scenic Bow

    River before returning to Banff.  Afternoon is at leisure in Banff. (B)



6. This morning visit Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks and then enjoy a

    leisurely visit Lake Louise, filled with the turquoise-colored waters from Victoria Glacier.

    This afternoon drive along the world-famous Icefields Parkway past waterfalls, glacier

    lakes and snow-capped mountains to Jasper.  Enjoy a 2 night stay at Jasper Lodge on

    the banks of the Athabasca River in Jasper National Park, Canada's largest park.

    Dinner is included tonight  at your lodge tonight. (B,D)



7. Enjoy a scenic morning ride to glacier-fed Maligne Lake, ringed with snow-capped 

    peaks with some of the best wildlife viewing in the  Canadian Rockies. Look for elk,   

     mountain goats, bighorn sheep, moose, caribou, bald eagles, and bears as you drive

    to the lake along Maligne Canyon.  Return to Jasper with free time to explore the small,

    charming town with its many shops and to absorb the natural beauty of jasper Park (B)



8. Today you will travel south along the Icefield's Parkway to the Columbia Icefield's

    Athabasca Glacier.  Bundle up well, and you can actually walk upon the icy glacier &

   take a ride across the surface of the glacier on the all-terrain Ice Explorer.(weather 

    permitting)  After a photo stop at turquoise-colored Peyto Lake, you will leave the

    majestic Canadian Rockies behind you as you descend to the Great Plains of Canada.

   Tonight to celebrate the end of a fabulous tour, enjoy a farewell dinner in Calgary. (B,D)

9.  This tour ends after breakfast at your hotel.  You may extend your stay an extra night

     to explore Calgary and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police or transfer by courtesy

    shuttle to the Calgary Airport and fly home.  You have made new friends,

    have taken hundreds of pictures, and escaped the July heat of Oklahoma for a few
