Scenic Ireland Circle Tour

You will leave no stone unturned as you journey through the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland with it's capital at Belfast. Enjoy the Emerald Green country side of a land in which freezing weather nor searing heat are seldom felt. Listen to the Irish lilt of the people as they go about their daily lives. Learn about their customs, their history, and their whiskey as you tour the entire Island of Ireland.
Daily Itinerary
1. Arrive in Shannon from OKC with free time to rest up from your flight and explore the city on your own.
This evening enjoy a Traditional Irish Night, a celli in the setting of a village barn with dinner, wine
and entertainment included. (D)
2. Drive to the Cliffs of Moher along the Clare Coast. Then a stop. at Rathbaun Farm, a working sheep
ranch, and watch the dogs maneuver the sheep. You can even watch as a sheep is sheared. Then on to
Galway and a tour of a Marble Workshop. Overnight in the far west of Ireland at Clifden, a fishing town.(B,D
3. This morning visit the restored Kylemore Abbey, a castle acquired by the Benedictine nuns. After a stop
at Westport, continue to Knock, a village that attracts pilgrims from all over the world. A visit to the
grave of poet W.B. Yeats at Drumcliff on Sligo Bay is the next stop. Then on to the resort at Bundoran.(B,D)
4. Drive through the remote and beautiful countryside to Donegal, home of the O'Donnell Clan. Later visit
the Belleek Potery factory, renowned for it's exquisite cream-colored Parian China. (B,D)
5. Take a tour with a local guide in Derry, a walled city in northern Ireland. After lunch, pass Dunluce
Castle on your way to the awe-inspring Giant's Causeway, ). Arrive in Belfast, capital of Northern Ireland, & totour the Titanic Exhibit. Be sure to take home your free Titanic souvenir.(B,D)
6. This morning take a tour of Belfast's most famous landmarks and then drive through the Mountains of
Mourne back to the Irish Republic. At the Palace of the Boyne, visit Knowth and passage-grave dating
from the Bronze Age. Join an optional cabaret evening with dinner and entertainment. (B)
7. Arrive in Dublin and take a city tour down statue-lined O'Connel Street, and St. Patrick's Catherdral. Visit OsOscar Wilde's Trinity College with the 1200 year old Book of Kells . This afternoon Is free for you to explore onon your own. Join an optional dinner outing to the Guinness Storeouse in the evening. (B)
8. Continue on southward to Ballyknocken House, a family-run guest house, for a baking demonstration and sc scones fresh from the oven. Travel on to Kikenney and The House of Waterford Crystal tour. Before dindinner you may want to join an optional pub tour. (B,D)
9. This morning take a guided walk through the town of Waterford before driving to Blarney Castle and the
famous "Kissing Stone". Overnight in Cork with an optional extension to Cobh's Queenstown Story, the
final port of call of the unlucky Titanic before it left Ireland. (B)
10. Take a boat to Garnish Island and explore it's lush tropical gardens and view the seal colonies. Then
over the mountains to County Kerry, and the famous Ring of Kerry. Overnight at the resort of Kilarney
with an optional dinner and Siamsa Tire National Folk Theater Show at Tralee. (B)
11. Enjoy panoramic views of Dingle Peninsula on the way to the Blasket Islands Center to learn about
these remote islands whose last inhabitants left in 1953. Visit Dingle before returning to Killarney.(B.D)
12. This morning take and optional excursion by horse drawn jaunting car or relax in Killarney. Travel to
Limerick, past the thatched cottages of Adare. This final evening, attend a special optional banquet at
Bunratty Castle. (B)
13. Depart for Shannon to fly home to OKC with wonderful stories to tell all of your friends because WOW
